Without a doubt, Lyceum ♥ Katsuya grew up as a very friendly boy, but despite being outwardly bright and cheerful all the time, he had difficulties forming actual connections with people, because when his mother died he became emotionally closed off. When he had girlfriends, he never fell in love with them, finding that he simply lacked the ability to do so. Even when he caught his last girlfriend cheating on him, he was mostly hurt by the fact that she basically took all his kindness and gentleness and threw it at his feet. That night he went out and proceeded to get very, very drunk, and at the bar he met Lyceum, whom he felt an instant attraction to despite never having been into guys before. They bantered for a little while, and finally Katsuya invited him over to his place, an invitation that Lyceum accepted, and they stumbled their way to Katsu's apartment. Once they got in the door, a little more stumbling occurred, which immediately shifted to an intense makeout session until they found their way to the bed, where they proceeded to fuck like rabbits all night

When they woke up the next morning, after they had a little more sex and properly introduced themselves, Katsuya asked Lyceum to start dating him, since he was strongly opposed to the notion of one-night stands. Lyceum agreed, and moved in shortly thereafter, since blondie had just been staying in a hotel previous to that. Katsuya found himself growing quite attached to Lyceum, something he'd never really experienced before, despite the fact that the other man often acted like he was a constant annoyance instead of his lover. A part of the reason he was able to connect with Lyceum had a lot to do with the fact that he was just as, if not moreso, emotionally damaged than he was, and they balanced each other out. Lyceum was the first person he'd ever met who inspired such deep feelings in him, and the man came to regard Ly-chan as both his lover and his best friend, as he didn't believe that he could ever connect with anyone else the way he did with Lyceum. He will always be the person he loves and needs most in the world, as he likes to remind him every chance he gets |D

03. Sexuality

He hesitates to call himself bi, because the only man he's ever fallen in love with is Lyceum, and aside from one occasion in his early twenties when he and Lyceum met Jinchou and Kreuz and decided to have some fun together, he's never been with another man before, either. Basically, though, he's straight with a preference for Lyceum

After Lyceum left and Katsuya tried to fill the void by marrying Hanako, he only did so because she basically made him think of a female Ly-chan; even then, Hanako wasn't Lyceum, and the only good thing that came out of their marriage was Crux. Katsuya pretty much CAN'T be with anyone who isn't Lyceum |D

He loves rock, but his faaaavoritest band ever is X-Japan. He went to their final concert and cried; when hide died a few years later, he totally broke down and sobbed over it.When they announced their plans for a reunion, he almost got out of his hospital bed and started dancing; he's an uber, uber fanboy.

12. Biggest fear

It's a tie between two things; one would be losing Lyceum again, as he pretty much fell apart on the inside when they were separated for nineteen years. His other greatest fear is the Jester. When he meets him, and regains all his horrible memories about his father, he has a total mental break down, and even after he recovers the mere sight of the Jester is enough to make him freeze up in absolute terror. Even now, in HL, Katsuya's still deathly afraid of him, but since he fears being separated from Lyceum more, he insists on staying in Kelflore with him.

13. Biggest fantasy

To frolic through a field of flowers with Lyceum 8D...sadly, it's a fantasy that will probably go unfulfilled.

14. Quirks in bed

He can be quite aggressive in his and Lyceum's love-making, and has a thing for bondage when he's the one being tied down |D

15. Bad habits

He used to be a very heavy drinker, as a way of coping when Lyceum left, and only quit when Hanako threatened to leave him after she got pregnant with Crux. Nowadays, though, it's pretty much in agreement that his worst habit is his complete and total honesty concerning Lyceum, meaning that he never keeps a single secret from him, no matter how small. This is very often used against him when the two of them bicker.

16. Biggest regret

His former alcoholism. It led to him getting cardiomyopathy later on in life, and he was actually dying during the course of SNPL, until Lyceum came to his rescue and took his ass back to Kelflore so that he would be cured. While he's quite happy about this, as it meant that he was reunited with the love of his life, he regrets the fact that he caused his family so much pain and emotional stress.

17. Best kept secrets

That he witnessed his mother's murder at the hands of his father when he was ten-years-old. Thanks to being raped by Ichiro, and drugged for two weeks straight afterwards, he didn't even remember this for the longest time, not until he went to Kelflore and met the Jester.

18. Last thought

SNPL: I hope Nade-chan doesn't find out that we defiled her kitchen...
HL: Even though it's worth the bruises, I wish Lyceum would stop hitting me when I tell him that he looks like those elves from the cookie box.

Being raped by his father when he was ten-years-old.

20. Biggest insecurity

His ability to keep Lyceum by his side. He was pretty much an absolute wreck after Lyceum left him the first time, and for the longest time he believed that it was something he'd done/said to make him leave. Even though Ly-chan came back and explained everything to him, it's been a worry of Katsuya's ever since that he wouldn't be good enough, and that Lyceum would leave him again.
